We resumed our in-person meetings a few months ago, but the new variant has thrown a wrench into our plans. We’re staying safe for now with Zoom calls, but just as soon as we can come out to play, we will!
A’s Netters Steve and Schellie Percudani helped me to celebrate the holiday season. What a fab dinner we had with lots of great conversation and many laughs. BTW, both of the Percudanis are great networkers! And, when the next morning rolled around, it was time to hit the walking trail with A’s Netter, Barbara Feldman. […]
I’ve never believed that networking MUST be done in a conference room or standing at an event, making small talk with the scores of attendees. Sure, that can work, but for me I need to mix it up a bit. This week, A’s Net members Ingrid Schwartz and Melissa Minchala and I ventured out to […]
Yesterday we had another in-person networking meeting and it was fun, fruitful, and friendly. Yes, Zoom is convenient, but in my personal opinion, nothing beats the vibe of a face-to-face meeting!
I never thought I suffered from Imposter Syndrome, but it hit me with a vengeance last evening as I was honored as a 2021 Woman of Distinction. It was an awesome event and I was humbled to be included in this group of accomplished women. Do you ever feel as if you don’t “deserve” an […]
Members of A’s Net shared their marketing success tips in a “mini marketing seminar.” Evan Mestman talked about his success with automating his marketing endeavors and measuring results, Joanne Meurer told us about how she helps her prospects and clients to view THEIR business as a luxury brand (awesome idea), and Stephanie Larkin provided insights […]

Create an introduction that sparks attention, communicates what you do, but does not provide so much detail that the other person begin […]
Some of our very best and most productive Zoom meetings don’t have a lot of participants. The smaller number of networkers allows for very deep and substantive conversations, and more commitment to follow-up and follow-through. I was never one to “pack the room” and instead, find that “quality, not quantity” is the best strategy for […]
Have you ever gone to a networking event only to have someone decide that you weren’t “worthy” of their time and attention? Ever had them turn their back when they found out that you were a solopreneur or simply starting out? How about having them return your card because they didn’t see that they would […]
As with so many aspects of life, networking requires action and effort if you’re going to reap its benefits. You can attend countless in-person and online events and register for every networking group under the sun, but you’ll get nowhere if you’re not actively taking the time to connect with the people you are meeting. […]
