Pouring rain, a noisy street corner in NYC with throngs of people hurrying by and the sound of blaring horns in the background. Not exactly the optimal place to run a networking Zoom, but so I did because (drum roll please), you do what you have to do🙂 Caught with back to back meetings, I […]
Each month a group of intrepid travelers, and want to travel travelers, get together on Zoom. We share information, travel hacks, ideas about places to visit and we network and bond on a shared interest—travel. The best networking takes place during “regular” conversations during which we get to know more about each other and shared […]
Some A’s Netters gathered today at Noon and shared an hour that will most certainly result in better outcomes from our LinkedIn efforts. How you ask? A’s Netter Marc Halpert https://www.linkedin.com/in/marchalpert shared some important information that can help us to get more people to see our posts. Marc wasn’t doing a presentation, but in the […]
I’m so thankful for our Adrian’s Network community. Smart, generous, responsive, and fun, we gather together on Zoom and in-person, communicate by phone, through the powerful listserv, and one-to-one calls, and “show up” for each other as appropriate. May this Thanksgiving be filled with friends and family, love and warmth, and with high hopes and […]
“Do you know a (Fill in the type of business, such as web designer, life coach, CPA, etc)?” When you respond and offer up a name, it feels good, but it isn’t proactive networking. Proactive networking occurs when you see possible business synergies between two individuals, and not because they had an immediate need and asked for […]
It was terrific meeting A’s Netter, Yvonne Dam, for dinner last night. Yvonne is visiting New York City and having client meetings and networking get-togethers. I met Yvonne through LinkedIn so if you don’t think that being active on LinkedIn can benefit YOU, I beg to differ. PS The restaurant was great and the view […]
Last night was another fabulous networking evening with some of the A’s Net community. While we certainly do Zooms and IRL in conference rooms and such, we also enjoy social networking events such as walking tours, pizza crawls, dumpling making sessions, theater and concert outings, trips to some of New York City’s fabulous museums, and […]
Mari Vanna is a terrific Eastern European restaurant in Manhattan. We had an A’s Net dinner there about 6 months ago and I recently decided to make a repeat visit with some of our members. What a great night. Excellent conversation while having spectacular food is MY way of networking and it seems to work […]
Thank you Rob Intelisano 1. Adrian– need I say more! 2. Our eagerly anticipated pool party at Christina Shaw’s home (www.imwithshaw.com) was canceled due to rain, but our networking continued. Lunch in Christina’s kitchen, a thousand + laughs, lots of connecting, and awesome conversation made for an extremely pleasant afternoon. Nothing can stop us; certainly not a little rain!
